Yes. You can have your eyes tested in your home if you cannot go out to an optician unaccompanied because of poor physical or mental health. We can examine you in your own house, or your residential/care home or at your day centre.

If you are named on an NHS certificate for partial help with health costs (HC3), you may also get help towards the cost of your glasses.

If you qualify for an NHS optical voucher, you can use it to pay for your glasses. We have a range of frames and lenses whose costs can be totally covered by the voucher value, making your spectacles free of charge. You can also use the voucher towards special lenses if you wish. The team will advise you regarding your options on the day of the test.
